Conduite par le Dr Roger Mbassa Ndinè, Maire de la Ville de Douala, accompagné d’une importante délégation de la Communauté Urbaine de Douala, cette rencontre a permis de présenter à Sa Majesté Eboumbou Douala Manga Bell, Chef Supérieur du Canton Bell, les contours de ce vaste programme de modernisation de la mobilité urbaine.

Doté d’un financement de 335 milliards de FCFA de la Banque mondiale, le PMUD constitue l’un des projets structurants les plus ambitieux engagés dans la capitale économique. Son objectif est clair : offrir à Douala un système de transport collectif performant, fluidifier la circulation, améliorer la qualité de vie des habitants et renforcer l’attractivité économique de la métropole.

Au-delà de la dimension technique du projet, cette rencontre a surtout mis en évidence une approche fondée sur l’écoute et la concertation.
