Le gouvernement camerounais, sous l’impulsion du Chef de l’Etat, Son Excellence Paul Biya, a lancé plusieurs projets routiers structurants visant à améliorer les infrastructures de transport dans le pays. Ces projets, annoncés dans l’adresse de fin d’année 2024 du président Biya, connaissent des avancées considérables.
La route Ngaoundéré-Garoua : un projet phare
La reconstruction de la route Ngaoundéré-Garoua, longue de 242 km, est l’un des projets les plus importants. Financé par la Banque africaine de développement, ce projet a enregistré des avancées significatives. Les offres des entreprises soumissionnaires ont été déposées le 13 février 2025, et les travaux proprement dits devraient démarrer en avril 2025.

D’autres projets routiers structurants sont également en cours de réalisation. La reconstruction de la route Mora-Dabanga-Kousséri, longue de 205 km, est financée par la Banque mondiale. Les travaux devraient démarrer en mai 2025. Le projet d’aménagement territorial et de promotion du secteur privé de la région de l’Extrême-Nord est également en cours de réalisation.
