En moins de deux ans, CAMWATER multiplie les initiatives structurantes et les partenariats de haut niveau pour accélérer l’accès à l’eau potable au Cameroun. La convention signée avec le HCR pour desservir les réfugiés de Minawao et les communautés hôtes illustre cette nouvelle dynamique impulsée par le Directeur Général, le Dr Blaise Moussa, qui fait de l’innovation, de la coopération et de la performance les piliers de son action.

Yaoundé, 30 juin 2026 – L’eau est bien plus qu’une ressource : elle est un facteur de dignité, de santé, de stabilité et de développement. C’est cette conviction qui a réuni, ce lundi à Yaoundé, CAMWATER et le Haut-Commissariat des Nations Unies pour les Réfugiés (HCR) autour d’une convention de partenariat destinée à renforcer durablement l’alimentation en eau potable des réfugiés du camp de Minawao et des populations vivant dans les localités environnantes.

L’accord, signé par le Directeur Général de CAMWATER, le Dr Blaise Moussa, et la représentante du HCR au Cameroun, Mme Yvette Muhimpundu, s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet « Solutions alternatives au Camp de Minawao », financé avec l’appui de l’Union européenne, de la Coopération allemande (GIZ) et du HCR.

Au-delà de la signature d’une convention, cet engagement traduit une vision : faire de l’accès à l’eau potable un levier de développement humain et de cohésion sociale dans une région confrontée à une forte pression démographique liée à l’accueil de milliers de réfugiés.

Dans cette coopération, CAMWATER mettra à contribution son expertise reconnue dans la conception, la réalisation, l’exploitation et le suivi des ouvrages hydrauliques. L’objectif est clair : garantir une alimentation en eau fiable, durable et capable de répondre aux besoins croissants des populations, tout en renforçant les infrastructures locales.

Cette nouvelle alliance vient confirmer la dynamique engagée au sein de CAMWATER depuis l’arrivée du Dr Blaise Moussa à sa tête. L’entreprise publique affiche aujourd’hui une ambition renouvelée, marquée par une accélération des investissements, le renforcement de la qualité du service, la modernisation des équipements et l’ouverture à des partenariats stratégiques avec les institutions nationales et internationales.
